In response to a recent newspaper informational article on Arsenic in wells/water systems, Plumstead Township wishes to provide residents seeking Arsenic test information in our current Consumer Confidence Reports with the following important information.
The Durham Ridge system is the only Public Water Supply operated by Plumstead Township that currently contains detectable levels of Arsenic. All of the other public wells, which are tested annually, have returned a less than Minimum Contaminant Level (MCL) result as established by the PA Department of Environmental Protection, and thereby do not require reporting. If you have any further questions please call Alan Bleam, Director of Public Works at 215-766-0189. EPA Ground Water and Drinking Water |
